918-TRIO TROUBLESHOOTING

'INCORRECT INSTALLATION' or 'CARTRIDGE NOT COMPATIBLE' MESSAGES DISPLAY:

1.Remove cartridge from printer (use Protector). 2.Wipe contact plate on cartridge with tissue. 3.Use soft cloth (not tissue) moistened with water to wipe contacts inside cartidge cradle in printer. 4.Replace cartridge (use Protector).

If messages still display: white contact points on cartridge are scratched. Cartridge is not usable.

 

IF INK STAINS ON PRINT PAPER:

1. REMOVE CARTRIDGE.

2. Stand cartridge on paper, printhead down, until leaking stopped.

3. Wipe inside printer with soft water moistened cloth (see User's Guide).

4. Reload & do clean/prime.

 

IF TEST PRINT IS NOT GOOD AFTER MANY TEST PRINTS:

(caused by air bubble inside sponge).

1. Remove cartridge from printer (use Protector). 2.Leave cartridge on paper for 24 hours. 3. Reload cartridge and do clean/prime. If still no good leave cartridge for more time to let ink settle.

 

IF PRINT IS DARK BROWN:

inks refilled in wrong holes.

1. Print until empty.

2. Refill in correct holes.

IF INK FLOWS OUT OF FILLING HOLE AFTER ONLY SMALL AMOUNT SQUEEZED IN:

More than 1 hole in sponge. See Instruction no.4. Cannot fix. Must refill more often.
